Property Security Policies and Procedures

• Each participating church and church related organization has a financial stake in the success of the CPIP program.
• Review the risk management section of this website for a general introduction to the variety of things every church can do to keep losses to a minimum, and reduce injuries for members, visitors, children and seniors.
• Over the years, slips and falls, water damage, vandalism, burglary and theft have been significant causes of claims. The property security checklist is a handy tool for your church's safety committee to use as it reviews all parts of the buildings and property at least once a year.
• In addition to the security checklist items, you are highly encouraged to install smoke detectors, burglar and fire alarms. The best alarm systems automatically notify police and fire departments.
